Malaysia's Anwar says ringgit is 'concerning' but 'under control'

KUALA LUMPUR -- Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim on Friday said the ringgit remains "under control," with the Malaysian currency weakening close to a level last touched during the Asian Financial Crisis a quarter century ago.

The Southeast Asian country's currency has been pressured lower this year by the strong dollar, tensions in the Middle East and other factors.
